The company was founded in 1960 by three brothers, Renato, Luciano and Corrado Brevini, in the town of Reggio Emilia (Italy). Since then, the name of Brevini has become synonymous with planetary gear units.

Brevini have aquired both Hydr-app and Aron to further develop their Hydraulic Division.

Hydr-App S.p.A. designs and produces hydraulic power-packs and transmissions for industry and agriculture.

Founded in 1974 for the purpose of developing products, such as speed increasers, that were previously manufactured by Brevini Riduttori, over the years Hydr-App S.p.A. has expanded its product range in the transmission division: bellhousing and couplings, mechanical and electromagnetic clutches, pump supports.

In the early '80s, realizing the strategic importance of fluid-power systems, Hydr-App decided to further expand its product range and consequently developed the current hydraulic division, which manufactures a variety of hydraulic power-packs for industry, moving and hoisting equipment and transportation.

Today Hydr-App S.p.A., an integral part of Brevini Group, has three plants that cover a total of 9,000 square meters. Sales abroad have grown, and today the company exports 65% of its production.

Aron S.p.A., which was founded in 1978 in Reggio Emilia, is now a part of Brevini Group and considered a true star on the industrial scene due to its technological know-how, its substantial patrimony of human and structural resources, and its excellent market positioning and economic trend.

The company produces and sells hydraulic and electronic systems such as: directional, pressure and flow controls; modular, cartridge, in line and bankable valves; electronic systems for mobile machinery to be installed on self-propelling machines and industrial applications.
